The Lungs of Your Soil

Roots need oxygen to actively absorb nutrients. Plagron Perlite acts as the "lungs" in the substrate. By mixing in perlite, the soil remains loose and fluffy even after repeated watering. This is particularly important for fast-growing plants with a high metabolism. In addition, the porous surface stores small amounts of water and nutrients, which are released to the plant as needed, while excess water can drain away immediately.

Application Tip: For an optimal soil structure, we recommend a mixture of 10% to 35% perlite in your substrate (soil or coco). Perlite is also excellent as a moist medium in a mini greenhouse to maintain high humidity or to root cuttings in a particularly airy environment.
